Alyson M. Zarro
Alyson concentrates her practice in the areas of zoning, land use and real estate. She has successfully managed national and local developers’ and land owners’ interests in complex and comprehensive zoning matters throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Her experience includes obtaining municipal approvals and state and federal permits for the development of shopping centers, expansion of religious, educational and health care institutions, office buildings, commercial developments, mixed use developments, apartment complexes, residential subdivisions and utility facilities.
Building on her training in historic preservation, Alyson has assisted clients in navigating the historic preservation regulatory framework at the local, state and federal level and has counseled clients on wetlands, stormwater management, traffic planning and sewage planning permitting issues. Her real estate practice includes the reorganization of multiple real estate holdings for a major healthcare facility, negotiation of numerous easements for a variety of purposes including preservation and conservation, and the formation of homeowners and condominium associations. During law school, Alyson served as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, General Litigation Section.
